Movie: Irgendwann werden wir uns alles erzählen
It is a hot summer in 1990 in a village in Thuringia, former East Germany. Mary is almost 19 and lives with her boyfriend Johannes on the farm with his parents. In order to avoid worrying about her future, she loses herself in reading books. After the fall of the wall, the atmosphere of a new era hangs in the air but she can’t deal with it. The same applies to her neighbor. The attractive but 20-year-old Henner seeks a rapprochement, and one touch is enough to ignite an overwhelming passion. It is the beginning of a secret, all-consuming relationship. Emily Atef, the award-winning director of Plus que jamais (2022) once again shows her talent in the film Irgendwann werden wir uns alles erzählen. Based on the book by Daniela Krien, Atef co-wrote the screenplay with Krien for this intense and daring story about an impossible love. An immersive film experience featuring an ensemble of talented actors and starring roles for Marlene Burow and Felix Kramer. The film was nominated for the Golden Bear at the Berlin Film Festival.
